Operation Song Nominated at GI Film Festival

As part of our WWII Preservation Project, Operation Song®, with the help of Shannon Fontaine (Filmmaker), created Good Co-Pilot, Richard Stroud Story. Stroud’s short documentary was accepted by the 2023 San Diego GI Film Festival held May 17 - 20, 2023 held at Museum of Photographic Arts located at 1649 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. It was nominated for Best Short Documentary. The Festival was attended by Mike Byer (Executive Producer) and Bob Regan (Executive Producer). The Viewing consisted of showing the film and then answering questions as part of a panel after. While everyone enjoyed the film and Stroud’s story, it did not win the category. Nevertheless, this was a great opportunity to showcase Operation Song® and our incredible veteran stories.

We are grateful to Fontaine, who coordinated our participation in the film festival. Fontaine is working on additional films for us, and plans to submit Devil Don’t Want Me, The Tommy Gwynn Story to the Nashville Film Festival.
