Squire Wells, known as "Skip," was one of the "fallen five" service members killed during a July 16, 2015 terrorist attack on Chattanooga's Navy Operational Support Center.Cathy Wells has written "Tennessee Blood," a song honoring her son.All his father gave him was life and a name. I was a single mom learning to play little boy games. I left the Navy when my tour was done. A dog named Dakota, me and my year old son. We went back to Georgia where I had grown up. Till the day he died it was home to the two of us.She wrote it with Don Goodman and Steve Dean, two Nashville hit songwriters involved in Operation Song, a nonprofit that helps military service members and their families through music therapy and songwriting."He was just a baby," she says of her son, who was a 21 year-old Marine when was murdered.
