New Music Monday: "What The Flag Is For"

Today's New Music Monday features the song "What The Flag Is For" written by Nate Dodson, Korry Rahn, Brandon Tanner, Damon Gooch, Jordan Breece & Jamie Floyd and performed by Jimmy Thow.

“We wrote this in honor of what the American Flag truly stands for when you strip away politics, rhetoric, agendas and all the noise made in an effort to confuse,” says songwriter Jamie Floyd. “We honor the flag because we honor the people who fought for and lost their lives over the course of history to protect our precious freedom.”

The first line in the song states, “The flag is for freedom for each and everyone,” which truly encapsulates the meaning behind this song. The songwriters take a deep dive into what the American flag means to them and challenge the listener to “remember what the flag is for.”
